Local companies Calytrix Technologies and NEC Australia have joined with Lockheed Martin to deliver the region’s largest and leading-edge training and simulation system – JP9711. The JP9711-1 project delivers the ADF Core Simulation Capability and is valued at about AUD$400m over 7 years. JP9711 will transform the delivery of ADF Joint/Collective simulation supported training from the current ad-hoc networks and systems onto the Chief Information Officers Group (CIOG) Enterprise Architecture using cloud technology – providing Modeling and Simulation as a Service.
Calytrix has three main roles:
- Simulation development services;
- Terrain development services;
- Professional Interactor services focusing on the insertion of simulation into training as well as delivery services.
JP9711-1 will also be delivering a new Australian managed federation for training. Titan CSE has been selected as the core 3D virtual gaming system in this new federation.
